肩の力を抜いて楽しめるお祭りです。 Edomachi-Taito Entertainment Festival is a festival of stylishness,
rich humanity, and open mindedness.
You can enjoy various cultures of entertainment and arts
that have been protected, nurtured and passed down to this day in the relaxing way.

若い頃、辿り着いたのがこのまち。なぜか楽屋でタップを踏んでいた。
お客さんが二人しかいない演芸場の舞台に立つオイラがいた。いろいろな場所で知らないお客さんが「一杯飲め」とお金のない自分に飲ませてくれた。小さい頃、兄ちゃんと初めて映画と寄席を観に来たのもこのまちだった。
あれから数十年、映画を撮ったり、絵を描いたり、藝大の先生にもなった。幾重もの生きた芸が交わるまち、このまちがオイラの原点。
肩の力を抜いて笑ってほしい、肩を震わせ泣いてほしい…芸楽祭。
This is the town I found myself in when I was young. I don't know why but I was tap dancing in the dressing room. I was on a stage of an entertainment theater with only two audiences. I had no money back then, but audiences that I didn't know bought me drinks at different places in the town.
This town was also where I first went to a movie theater and vaudeville with my brother when I was a little kid. It's been several decades since then. I've shot films, drawn paintings, and even became a teacher at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Here, a town where countless living arts mix, is my origin. Follow your heart and relax, laugh, and cry at the Edomachi-Taito Entertainment Festival.

芸能・伝統文化の継承・発展 Succession and Development of Entertainment Traditional Culture
粋、豊かな人情、進取の気性など、心を感じる生活文化が、台東区の人とまちの活力をつくってきました。この風土の中で、先人たちは芸を磨き、育み、時代をリードして世へ発信してきました。本区は芸能の一大中心地として大衆文化創造の重要な一翼を担い、また、その伝統と格式は今なお色濃く残り、多くの人を惹きつけやみません。
私たちは、歴史の中で培われ、現代へ継承されてきた、本区に根付く芸能や伝統文化を継承し発展させる責務があります。
そのためには、区民や本区に訪れる方々に、これらの文化に触れていただき、その魅力を肌で感じていただくこと、そして、次代を担う新しい才能を発掘し、応援することが大切です。
今後は、本区ならではの芸能や伝統文化を総合的に支援し、地域に根ざした取り組みとして展開し、発信してまいります。
The energy of Taito City and its residents has derived from lifestyle of downtown full of stylishness, rich humanity, and open mindedness. Our predecessors have honed and nurtured the arts and delivered leading arts from the downtown. The City has played an important role in the creation of popular culture as the major center of entertainment. That tradition and class have remained strongly to this day, continuing to attract the people.
We have a responsibility to continue passing down and further develop the entertainment and traditional culture that are rooted in the City, as they have been nurtured through the history and passed down to this day.
In doing so, it is important for residents and visitors to the City to have an opportunity to come into contact with these cultures and feel their charm first hand while finding new talents for the next generations and supporting them are required.
We will comprehensively support entertainment and traditional culture unique to the City and offer initiatives rooted in the community.
キービジュアルは江戸らしい和のイメージを連想させるコンテンツを盛り込み、全体的にシックな印象に仕上げました。
また、ロゴは「芸楽祭」の「楽」の読み方が迷いやすいので、
ひらがなの「らく」をデザインの中にしのばせ、より広く
一般に知っていただけるように工夫しました。
The key visual incorporates content reminiscent of an Edo-style Japanese image, creating an overall chic impression.
In addition, the logo is easy to read “Easy” in the “Gakuraku Festival”, so the “Raku” hiragana has been added to the design to make it more widely known to the general public.
