The energy of Taito City and its residents has derived from lifestyle of downtown full of stylishness, rich humanity, and open mindedness. Our predecessors have honed and nurtured the arts and delivered leading arts from the downtown. The City has played an important role in the creation of popular culture as the major center of entertainment. That tradition and class have remained strongly to this day, continuing to attract the people.

We have a responsibility to continue passing down and further develop the entertainment and traditional culture that are rooted in the City, as they have been nurtured through the history and passed down to this day.

In doing so, it is important for residents and visitors to the City to have an opportunity to come into contact with these cultures and feel their charm first hand while finding new talents for the next generations and supporting them are required.

We will comprehensively support entertainment and traditional culture unique to the City and offer initiatives rooted in the community.
